It's finally here! I'm in my last quarter of my second school year, and can hardly believe it. All I can see behind me are several lessons learned both good and bad. And all I can see ahead of me are exciting and new adventures. Many exciting and new adventures. :)

When I talk about you, I can't help but smile. My family and friends can even hear the smile through the phone, so they tell me. Today someone told me I was glowing... I was talking about you at the time.

I think we can both agree that it's healthy to have it. How often do you take yours, and how much do you need?

I usually like at least an hour a day. If I get more, I don't mind unless it's too much or unless I'm needing a day for thinking.

But if I don't get my hour, I usually feel a little stressed out and emotionally scattered.

So, my co-worker, Melody, discovered this here video, and my Spanish classes are now filled with silly kiddos scream-singing the lyrics to this song at the beginning of class everyday. May we spread the contagion to you. Enjoy:

TMFH: Books

Do you prefer to read them or listen to them?

Personally, I prefer to read them. I want a hard copy I can annotate all over. But, sometimes I wonder how many more books I would experience were I to listen to them.

TMFH: Vulnerability

Looking at myself, I am the type of person who makes herself incredibly vulnerable in relationships. I see this as a strength. But I'll tell you, it really leaves me crazy at times. You put yourself out there hoping the other person will respond well.

I'm convinced that making yourself vulnerable and letting others in is an act of faith.

It's not an easy or comfortable thing to do. And it can be pretty scary at times. 

TMFH: Naps

I'm in favor.

I taught my students today about the siesta in Spain and in South America. We nearly unanimously agreed together that this is a cultural practice we'd like to begin here in the US... or rather continue from kindergarten up. Either a siesta block in the middle of the day, or I vote that school begin at 10:00 am. Your thoughts?

TMFH: The Art of Happiness

It's a lovely thing to find oneself in a continual state of happiness. For me this is not always the case. In fact the past two years of my life have been filled with much sadness and pain. However, from it I have learned that life will not always present you with everything you want it to. So, why not just choose to be happy despite your circumstances? Why not choose to be happy despite everything?

The reason I am happy is simple: I choose to be.

Try it out sometime. You'll be amazed how contagious it becomes to yourself and to those you associate with.

TMFH: Laughter

I love to laugh. If you can't make me laugh, I will be entirely turned-off by you. And you've also got to appreciate my humor. I'm kind of a silly crack-up of a girl.

TMFH: Repeat Repeat!

Some people find this incredibly annoying. But, I am the kind of person who when she finds a song that resonates with her, she listens to it on repeat for an entire week. No worries, I am aware of the great blessing it is to have earbuds for such moments of insanity.

TMFH: Bathroom Stalls

Yes, this is my 100th blog post, and it is about bathrooms.

So, I have recently taken notice of a rare idiosyncracy of mine.

When I use a public restroom, I nearly always use the same exact stall each time I revisit. At first I wondered if I did this because of some need for ownership, but then I discovered that the stall I generally use usually meets certain criteria making it the optimal stall in each bathroom I visit. It needs to be:

1. The closest stall to the bathroom entry.
2. The cleanest stall.
3. One with toilet paper.

If the stall consistently meets these three requirements, I will always use it. However, I realized I don't necessarily discriminate according to the size of the stall. (I sometimes find myself crammed into that tiny stall where you hardly have room to enter AND shut the door.) And once one of these three criteria is no longer being met, I easily move on to the next stall. In which case, size might play a role in my choice, but cleanliness always takes priority.

Massages go a long way. The more frequent, the better. Just sayin... :)

What kind of life would this be without hope? I look forward with faith that everything I've always wanted will eventually happen.

I'm a half piece girl. But, It doesn't matter to me what you prefer. I think most guys prefer the whole enchilada.

My personal favorite is spearmint (sugarfree). It just seems to last the longest.

TMFH: Missionary Opportunities

So, this online dating adventure has become a way for me to share the gospel and my testimony with quite a few guys. In my search for you, I hope to leave behind me a trail of footprints that lead the other men I have interacted with closer to God.

One thing that has also been amazing to me is that every time I have a spiritual discussion with a man, especially with one who believes contrary to my beliefs, my testimony is strengthened and I become even firmer in adhering to my beliefs. There is no doubt about it in my mind and in my heart. This is God's church. It is true. I can unwaveringly say that with a confidence rooted inside my most inner soul, access to which is only given to God and hopefully one day to you.

TMFH: Book of Mormon

I love this book. Last night as I was feeling discouraged about finding you, Heavenly Father pointed me to this scripture, and it was exactly what I needed to hear:
Jacob chapter 3: 1-2

1. But behold, I, Jacob, would speak unto you that are pure in heart. Look unto God with firmness of mind, and ^apray unto him with exceeding faith, and he will ^bconsole you in your ^cafflictions, and he will plead your cause, and send down ^djustice upon those who seek your destruction.
2.  O all ye that are pure in heart, lift up your heads and receive the pleasing word of God, and feast upon his ^alove; for ye may, if your ^bminds are ^cfirm, forever.

 As I read this, I felt comforted and happy. I'm not giving up on this eternal family business. But, it's hard work, you know.

I think it's safe to say you are not someone who religiously participates in role play games such as Dungeons and Dragons. Only my closest friends and family know why I would post this. :)

I promise to do my best to build you up. I expect the same from you. Carrying this over into the way you treat me, I am a girl who likes princess treatment. You know, opening doors for me, letting me walk in front of you, asking my opinion, listening to me and remembering what I say, occasionally pointing out the fact that you find me attractive or beautiful. But don't worry. I'm pretty sure I know how to treat you like a prince. Trust me on this one. :)

I know people who dislike water so much that they have to force themselves to drink it. I also know people who love the stuff. I fall into the latter category. You can usually find me with a bottle of water on hand. You know, they've actually done studies on the brain which have shown that the more water you drink, the better your brain functions. TMFH: Ramen Noodles

At times they are the most disgusting smelling and tasting "food" my olfactories have ever encountered. Yet occasionally, they're the only thing that will satisfy my craving. Weird.

TMFH: Dieting

Have you ever gone on a diet? I know nearly every woman in America has, but it seems to not be as common among the male gender. Having said that, I still know a good handful of guys who have gone on hardcore protein diets, or no sugar bans to bulk up or to feel healthier. And then there are a select few who watch what they eat to actually lose weight. But most men it seems don't have to worry about losing weight until their 30's. Am I being unfair?

TMFH: Reading

It is my opinion that the most interesting people to talk to are those who read. Just know, one of the reasons why I'm drawn to you is the fact that you read and have interesting discoveries to share and talk about.

Though there are more choices to consider, hands down Wendy's wins.

TMFH: Expletives

It's been interesting to watch my views on swearing change over the years. I myself can count on one hand how many times I have sworn out loud in my life. It just doesn't come out. But, I have grown less and less bothered by swear words themselves.

What bothers me more are the excessive use of them and the harsh intent behind them. But you have to admit that there are times when a certain choice word perfectly and entirely expresses how you feel. And there are times when a well placed swear word adds a little punch, a little passion to what you're saying.

Again, it all goes back to the intent. So, I won't hold it against you if an occasional word comes out. But, I'll admit I find it a major turn-off when a man swears on a regular basis. And there are certain harsh swear words that I find entirely classless.

TMFH: Pop Tarts

The only flavor I enjoy, which also happens to be the best flavor of Pop Tart, is Maple Brown Sugar.
